The Open Water Course consists of two parts:
1) Classroom: where you will gain the basic knowledge through presentation with a multiple choice, final exam on the 2nd day.
2) Pool: where you will learn the water skills and techniques for safe diving. We have fun too!
We keep the Course and Certification separate for two reasons.
1) Keep down the confusion, as there is lot's of information for both.
2) The certification could be up to six months later, we don't want to charge you for certification that far in advance. Although we typically schedule them sooner.
We determine the date for certification during the 1st or 2nd day while in class. Of course we make sure the weather is nice and warm!
